Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

Kimba
Our first Bullmastiff
Kimba was our first pedigree Bullmastiff, she was an adorable larger than life character, with a huge infectious personality. Kimba was loved by everyone one who meet her, she had many friends, her tail would wag furiously everytime we meet anyone, or walked past anyone when out on walks, that they couldn't help but stop and say hello. Sadly Kimba lost her battle for life at just 3 years old due to a heart defect. RIP sweet angel, you will never be forgotton.

Kimba age 12 months

Kimba age 4 months with our son & daughter James & Sam
Treasured Friend
I lost a treasured friend today
The little dog who used to lay
Her gentle head upon my knee
And share her silent thoughts with me...
She'll come no longer to my call
Retrieve no more her favorite ball
A voice far greater than my own
Has called her to His golden throne.
Although me eyes are filled with tears,
I thank Him for the happy years
He let her spend down here with me
And for her love and loyalty.
When it is time for me to go
And join her there, this much I know...
I shall not fear the transient dark
For she will greet me with her bark.

Toyah
Toyah was a very lively, loyal girl, she enjoyed life to the full, her favourite pastime was running free in long grass near were we live, you could see her grinning with joy while she was running and jumping through the grass. Toyah absolutely loved snow and would play all day long if it was snowing if you let her. Goodnight god bless sweetness, run free over the bridge. Always in out hearts.
IF I SHOULD GROW FRAIL
If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain does keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done
For this - the last battle - can't be won.
You will be sad I understand
But don't let grief then stay your hand.
For on this day, more than the rest
Your love and friendship must stand the test.
We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.
Take me to where my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end.
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must now be you
Who has to decide this thing to do.
We've been so close - we two- these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

Suggs
Suggs was very much a gentle giant, with a very laid back attitude, he was an absolute pleasure to own, and a true ambassador of the breed. Suggs was loved by everyone who meet him. Our first Bullmastiff male, he has left a lasting impression imprinted on our hearts. Thankfully a little part of Suggs lives on in his children and grandchildren, and that gives us a little bit of comfort.
Sadly Suggs passed away suddenly on the 11th October 2006, he is irreplaceable in our hearts and lives.
Goodnight, God bless Big Fella, we miss you so much. You will never be forgotton.

Memories
They say memories are golden
well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you,
a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you
you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
no one could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway
and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to heaven
and bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.

Nena
Nena was a lovable rogue, always up to mischief of some kind. She was a very loyal, headstrong and vocal girl, who loved her family with a passion. Our protector and guardian gone to soon.
Sadly Nena was taken from us suddenly 25/06/09
Sweet dreams baby run free to the bridge always in our hearts.

"Man's best friend" you hear them say.
An understatement, that has to be.
I just hope I was there for her
As much as she was there for me.
